EUREKA Asset Management System

Eureka is asset management system. which will help you to search and locate your important assets including documents, files, CD/DVD, Laptops, projectors etc All important assets are enrolled into the Eureka desktop application along with its description, keywords, owner details, date of acquisition and home location (room, cupboard, shelf etc)

All We Need Is Just 3 Things

Search Mode

Whenever you need to search an asset, you just enter its short description / keyword on the desktop application. The Eureka application will immediately tell you where this asset should be, based on the home location entered. If the asset is not found in its home location, the user can just touch a key on the desktop application and the asset enrolment data gets pushed into the hand held RFID reader through WiFi All the user has to do is hold the RFID reader in hand and walk along the room(s). As soon as the reader is within 1 meter of the asset, there will be an alert in form of a beep, which will help user to quickly locate what he has been searching for. User can search multiple assets at a time. The Handheld reader display will have a list of assets being searched, and the item found will turn green in the handheld display. The system will log the event to keep a record of which asset is found where.

Inventory Mode

In this mode, user can take an inventory of a particular location (such as shelf, cupboard or room). To achieve this, the user just enters the name of the location for which he needs to take an inventory on the desktop application. The desktop application immediately dumps the list of assets expected at this location into the handheld reader using WiFi. The user then walks around the location with the reader in hand. The reader picks up the RFID of all assets found during this scan and gives the following indications:

OK: All the assets which are supposed to be present in that location located

Missing: List of assets which should have been there in that location but were not found.

Extra: Some assets were found at this location which actually belong somewhere else.

The result is pushed back in the desktop which logs this event and can be used as an audit trail. The reader can also locate assets behind files, books and also inside non-metallic cupboards. The audit trail includes the date, time and username of the person taking search/inventory. The desktop includes powerful queries and reports which give you history of asset physical movement, which can help curb malpractices. The Eureka can be upgraded to Eureka IDHS which includes a document handling system and can keep a seamless connection between physical documents and e-documents.
